Lagman visits Catanduanes

Albay Governor Edcel Grex Lagman bas visited the Province of Catanduanes where he was able to connect with his family’s past.

“Happy to visit beautiful Catanduanes. The birthplace of my great-grandfather, grandmother and mother…,” said Lagman.

He also thanked Governor Joseph Cua for having
Provincial Administrator Lemuel Surtida accompany him and his fellow brother Eagles from Albay to the Provincial Capitol.

“Just happy to see my great-grandfather and his son’s (my granduncle) portraits in the lobby. Felipe Almojuela was Catanduanes’s first governor (when Catanduanes was still a sub-province of Albay),” said Lagman.

“His son, Jorge Vera Almojuela, followed in his footsteps and was elected governor decades after Catanduanes was already a full-fledged province,” he added.

“Happy to honor these fine Catandunganons. Dios mabalos,” he continued.
