Governor Edcel “Grex” Lagman has expressed his commitment to support initiatives that will improve the learning of early-grade learners in the province.
A Strengthening Partnerships through the Education Sector Mechanism (ESM 3) Investment Programming and Planning Workshop was held recently, where Lagman conveyed his message of support through his representative, Provincial Administrator, Sheina Onrubia-Dela Cruz.
“Just as Bonifacio ignited the story of the nation through his call to arms and enlightenment, we, through the collaborative efforts of the ABC+ project team and the ESM technical working group a rallying a different kind of revolution, this is a revolution in education aimed at empowering our youngest learners from Kindergarten to grade 3, with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to shape a better future for themselves and for our nation,” said the Governor in his message.
The work shop featured the identification of priority programs and investments that will cater to the needs of young Albayano learners, particularly those in kindergarten to grade 3 encompassing the four pillars namely the well-being and resiliency, access, equality, and equity.
“We are also here to champion a cause, equally pivotal, the advancement of education through the ABC+ program and [the] education sector mechanism. As the Governor of Albay, he stressed on his commitment to supporting the ABC+ programs, the initiatives of the ESM, and the process and programs as outputs of these workshops,” said Lagman.
“Together, let us build an educational framework that is inclusive, and forward-taking just as Bonifacio envisions a nation that was free, educated, and resilient,” the Governor added.
