Umali distributes rescue vehicles to second district barangays

Oriental Mindoro Rep. Alfonso “PA” Umali Jr. led the distribution of rescue vehicles to the barangays in the second district to boost their emergency response capacity.

Umali noted that the additional rescue units will help local barangays respond more quickly and effectively during emergencies and disasters.

“Bawat rescue vehicle ay dagdag na pag-asa sa oras ng pangangailangan ng ating kabarangay,” Umali said.

Umali expressed gratitude to barangay officials and project partners who helped make the initiative possible, noting that the latest distribution forms part of ongoing efforts to improve public service delivery in communities throughout the district.

“Nagpapasalamat ako na naging bahagi tayo ng pagkakaloob ng sumunod na batch ng mga rescue vehicles para sa ating mga barangay sa segunda distrito kasama ang ating mga barangay officials at mga naging katuwang sa proyektong ito,” he said.

“Bilang inyong kinatawan, ang hangad natin ay maging instrumento sa pagdadala ng mga serbisyong nararapat mapunta sa ating mga kababayan. Sa buwis at ambag ng bawat Mindoreño, nagkakaroon tayo ng kakayahang pondohan ang mga proyektong makatutulong sa ating mga komunidad,” Umali said.

According to the lawmaker, the true value of the initiative lies not only in the acquisition of vehicles but in the enhanced capability of barangays to provide immediate assistance during critical situations.

“Kaya ang tunay nating ipinagdiriwang ay ang pagkakataong mas mabilis nang makapaglilingkod at makatutulong ang ating mga barangay sa oras ng emergency at kalamidad. Iyan ang serbisyong nais nating makita,” he said.
