Naga Vice Mayor Gabriel Bordado Jr. looked back on the time he met the late President Benigno Aquino III when the latter was still a senator.
On Facebook, Bordado posted a photo of him with Aquino and said it was taken when he and then Naga Mayor Jesse Robredo attended a Senate hearing.
He and Robredo defended 14 Naga City police personnel who were being politically harassed by their superior at the time.
Also in the photo was Bordado’s late driver.
Those were the days, he said.
“THROWBACK TUESDAY: Noynoy Aquino was a senator back then and I was just a city councilor. Mayor Jesse Robredo and I attended a committee hearing at the Senate to defend 14 Naga City policemen being politically harassed by their superior. Standing at the back was my late driver, Arnel Reyes Sr. Well, as the song goes, those were the days, my friend, we thought would never end,” Bordado posted.
