Villafuerte welcomes DILG’s Remulla in Bicol

Camarines Sur Governor Lray Villafuerte welcomed Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla to the Bicol Region during the turnover of Unified 911 emergency response motorcycles.

Remulla also spearheaded the conduct of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Region V Third Quarter Meeting.

“Isang karangalan na ma-welcome sa Bicol ang aking longtime friend at schoolmate, DILG Sec. Jonvic Remulla, para sa turnover ng Unified 911 Emergency Response Motorcycles at ang ating RPOC V 3rd Quarter Meeting,” the governor said.

Villafuerte emphasized the importance of the Unified 911 system in ensuring that residents across Bicol have immediate access to emergency assistance regardless of their location.

“One number. 911. Kahit saan ka man sa Bicol, kahit anong oras — help is on the way. At soon, magkakaroon na ng sariling Unified 911 Satellite Command Center dito mismo sa CamSur,” he said.

“Salamat sa PNP PRO 5, 9th Infantry Division, at sa lahat ng ating kapwa governors at LGUs. Ang peace and order, teamwork ’yan. Walang solo,” Villafuerte said.

He stressed that maintaining security is a shared responsibility and a key component of regional development.

“Ligtas na Bicol = maunlad na Bicol. ’Yan ang deal,” he added.
