Camarines Sur Gov. Luis Raymund “Lray” Villafuerte underscored the importance of grassroots engagement and public service during a recent visit to Brgy. Poblacion in Tigaon.
In a statement, Villafuerte said every barangay has its own story and presents an opportunity for leaders to listen and serve.
“Bawat barangay, may kwento. Bawat pagbisita, may pagkakataong makinig, tumulong, at maghatid ng saya,” the governor said.
The governor highlighted the value of personally listening to the concerns of the residents, noting that seeing the happiness of families serves as a reminder of the rewards of public service.
Villafuerte also expressed his gratitude to the residents of Brgy. Poblacion for their warm welcome during the visit.
“Maraming salamat, Barangay Poblacion, Tigaon, sa napakainit na pagtanggap!” he said. “Barangay to barangay. Tao sa tao. Serbisyong may malasakit.”
He further vowed to continue visiting communities across Camarines Sur and extending assistance wherever needed.
